I really like this, the inking almost has a Paul Pope eque vibe to it, while his posture seems like it's influenced by Quietly. The only thing that looks a bit strange is the emphasis on the lips.

Oh, Clarkie! Invest in a French press! You'll never look back! I love his cape here. It *looks* like something he can wrap around multiple people at once. Also, I love the fact that he's not super ginormously hugegantic. I mean, sometimes I really dig that? But most people don't do it as well as Tim Sale did in Superman For All Seasons.

Superman's physique is something I waffle on... I grew up with Bruce Timm's versions of a lot of these heroes, so to me a gigantic inverted triangle of a man looks kind of natural? But then I think, why should he be some muscled? It's not his muscles that really give him his powers, and active as he is, moving a couple mountains every other day can't really qualify as heavy lifting for him. But then, who's to say that all Kryptonians weren't just LARGER than us?

It's got that ALL Star Superman feel of the relaxed and serene Superman.. something that Chip Kidd can't seem to wrap his mind around. I love this piece. How cool is it that there's no need for the "s" shield?
